Income Participation Agreement
I've used the Income Participation Agreement for sharing income derived from a song with another party without giving up any of the writing or publishing rights to that party. As a bonus, I did this with a couple of hired vocalists whose performances I felt helped sell the song.
I've used Master Use licenses when someone wanted to use my sound recording (of my song) in their film. I would have also used it if someone wanted to use one of my recordings of someone else's song as well, but that scenario never emerged.
Master Use, Sync and, Videogram License
I've used the Master Use, Sync, Videogram license when licensing my songs and my recordings of my songs for a use that would result in the sale of videos.
I used Mechanical Licenses to contract other writer's songs with my artists on my record (label) that I was releasing. I would also use it to contract with another label if I placed my song with their artist for release on their record.
I've used Single Song Agreements with other writers who would sign over their songs to me when I was a publisher pushing their songs to other artists and producers. I always added a reversion clause so that if I didn't get their song "placed" in one year, the rights to the song reverted back to the songwriter.
Synchronization Licenses
I've used Synchronization Licenses when someone wanted to use my song as background in a film. This would include other's recordings of my song as well as my recordings of my songs.
Transfer / Assignment of Interest in Copyrights
I've used this for transferring interest in songs to and from other copyright claimants.
I used the TV Concert License when a TV show would air one of my pre-recorded promotional videos for which I owned the the song, the sound recording of the song and the video footage (which was a "work for hire" - I'm not a good videographer).
The TV Film Sync License was used when I had a band that lip synced to a Master recording on a taped broadcast for TV only.
